Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AlpacaLingua uses cookies, pixels, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies on the website and in the platform. AlpacaLingua is operated by UnixBox Corp, a New York corporation doing business as AlpacaLingua.
Cookies help the Service keep users signed in, remember preferences, process checkout, measure performance, and improve the learning experience.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small files or identifiers stored by a browser or device. Similar technologies may remember session data, language preferences, security settings, analytics events, or checkout status.
2. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies support authentication, account security, session management, fraud prevention, checkout, language routing, and core platform functions. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking important parts of the Service.
3. Preference and Session Cookies
Preference cookies remember locale, timezone, interface settings, or onboarding state. Session cookies keep a user signed in, maintain form progress, or preserve a booking or checkout flow.
4. Analytics
Google Analytics helps AlpacaLingua understand page visits, signups, funnel performance, errors, device types, browser information, and general platform usage on public pages. Analytics is configured to avoid collecting more information than needed.
5. Advertising Cookies
On public marketing pages, AlpacaLingua may use Google Ads and Meta advertising tools to measure marketing performance and reach relevant audiences. Advertising cookies load only after any applicable consent requirement is met.
6. Child Accounts
For an account known to belong to a Student under 18, AlpacaLingua disables behavioral advertising cookies and does not use child-account data for advertising profiling. AlpacaLingua does not use a child’s data for advertising, whether or not the account is signed in.
7. Third-Party Providers
Third-party providers may set cookies or use similar technologies when their services are loaded, including:
Firebase (Google) for authentication, hosting, database, and storage;
Stripe for payments and the customer billing portal;
Google Meet for video lessons;
Google Analytics for usage measurement;
Google Ads and Meta advertising tools for marketing on public pages;
Twilio for SMS or WhatsApp notifications, where enabled.
AlpacaLingua updates this list as providers change.
8. Duration and Choices
Cookie duration depends on the type of cookie and the provider. You can control many cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or account features from working correctly.
9. Regional Consent
Where required by law, AlpacaLingua shows a cookie consent banner or preference center. More information about personal-data handling is in the Privacy Policy.
