Parent or Guardian Consent Agreement

This agreement is for situations where AlpacaLingua needs consent from a parent or legal guardian before a student uses the platform or joins lessons.
It is intended as a practical consent record and should be connected to the signup or onboarding flow when parent approval is required.
1. Parent and Student Information
The consent record may collect the parent or guardian name, email, phone number, relationship to the student, student name, student age or age group, timezone, language level, and the date consent was given. AlpacaLingua may also keep the IP address, account email, electronic signature, and consent log needed to prove when and how consent was provided.
2. Authority to Approve the Account
The parent or guardian confirms that they have legal authority to approve the student account and to permit the student to use AlpacaLingua for placement, trial sessions, private lessons, group lessons, homework, progress tracking, teacher communication, and related learning services.
3. Consent to Data Processing
The parent or guardian permits AlpacaLingua to process the information needed to operate lessons and the student account. This may include scheduling, attendance, homework, tests, teacher notes, progress, support messages, payment status, class history, and technical logs.
4. Teacher Access
The parent or guardian understands that assigned teachers and authorized school staff may see information needed to teach, support, evaluate progress, manage scheduling, and keep the learning environment safe. Teachers should not receive more information than is reasonably needed for those purposes.
5. Rules and Linked Policies
By giving consent, the parent or guardian agrees that the student must follow the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Class Rules, Code of Conduct, and any plan-specific rules shown during checkout, booking, or onboarding.
6. Recordings and Marketing Use
If AlpacaLingua records lessons, separate notice and consent may be required. Marketing use of a student name, image, voice, video, class excerpt, testimonial, or learning work is optional and should require a separate voluntary permission.
7. Withdrawal and Updates
A parent or guardian may contact AlpacaLingua to ask questions, review consent records, update information, withdraw consent where applicable, or request account deletion. Withdrawal may limit or end the student’s access if the service cannot be provided without the required consent.
