1. When Recording May Be Used
AlpacaLingua may record all lessons or only selected lessons if that is clearly disclosed. Recording may support safety, quality review, complaints, teacher coaching, training, attendance verification, or dispute resolution.
2. Notice and Consent
Users should receive notice before or at the start of a recorded lesson. If a student requires parent or guardian consent, recording should not be used unless the required consent has been obtained and logged.
3. Right to Decline
Where the service allows a user to decline recording, AlpacaLingua should explain what happens if recording is declined, including whether the lesson can continue, must be rescheduled, or requires a non-recorded alternative.
4. Access and Security
Access to recordings should be limited to authorized AlpacaLingua staff, assigned reviewers, service providers, or teachers who need access for an approved purpose. Recordings should be protected against unauthorized access.
5. Retention and Deletion
Recordings should be kept only as long as needed for the disclosed purpose, legal requirements, safety review, support, or complaint handling. Users may contact support to ask about deletion or access where applicable.
6. Training and Marketing Use
Short clips may be used for internal teacher training when appropriate. Marketing use of a user image, voice, name, lesson clip, or testimonial requires separate voluntary consent.
7. User Restrictions
Teachers and students may not make personal recordings, publish lesson recordings, share screenshots, or distribute another person’s image, voice, or lesson content without authorization.
8. Complaints
If a recording is relevant to a complaint, AlpacaLingua may review it and may provide access only where appropriate, lawful, and consistent with privacy and safety obligations.
